The story of PP Plywood Trade began in 2016, but its foundation was laid over two decades prior. Founded by Prava Prasanna Acharya (PP Acharya), this premier showroom is the culmination of a distinguished 24-year career at the highest levels of the timber and plywood industry.
The Journey: 1992–2016
Between 1992 and 2016, Mr. Acharya rose through the ranks from a Sales Representative to Vice President, gaining deep technical and market insights at industry giants including Mangalam Timber, Century Ply, Mayur Ply, Aeon Ply, and Greenply.
The Evolution of a Vision
In 2016, driven by a vision to bridge the gap between world-class brands and the evolving needs of customers in Odisha, Mr. Acharya transitioned from a successful corporate career to entrepreneurship. He established PP Sales Corporation, which became the foundation of his independent business journey and continues to operate alongside the showroom to this day.
As his reputation and influence in the Odisha plywood and interior materials market grew, the business expanded and evolved into PP Plywood Trade—a specialized destination for premium plywood, laminates, doors, and architectural materials. While PP Plywood Trade serves as the showroom’s customer-facing brand, PP Sales Corporation remains an integral part of the enterprise, working in parallel to support its operations and continued growth.
This evolution reflects a transformation from a sales-focused venture into a trusted trade destination, bringing a vice president’s strategic perspective to the showroom floor and ensuring that every customer benefits from decades of industry insight, leadership, and expertise.
